Virtual Inconnu most solidly affirms that Monsieur Bergeron’s on an evolutionary course and no sooner than the very first offering, “La Prochaine Terre Servira de Refuge a sa Propre Candeur”, a bizarrely discernable song arcane but somberly apprehended, more graphically wrought than the accompanying Village and La Rumeur, more distinctly moody than any other song he’s yet realized. This is continued in the sophomore track, “Ce ne Sont pas Tellemnot les Jambes qui vont Flancher en Premier que le Thorax et la Gorge”, which collapses Berger Rond’s much more orchestral wont of the past into a markedly chambery incarnation. Things progress backwards and forwards from there, always in flux, the disc marking a crossroads for the composer, a recapitulation of past ways compressing itself into a left turn of future signs.

MMO game's transportive score marks yet another victory for composer Gareth Coker ("Ori and the Blind Forest," "Halo Infinite"). Bandcamp New & Notable Aug 16, 2023
As you might guess from the title, this is strange and eerie synth music meant to conjure a mystical film where all is not what it seems. Bandcamp New & Notable Aug 14, 2023
